With a cherry on top.

When I was a little girl I would plead with my father and say ‘pretty please with a cherry on top’. I thought it was just a thing the two of us had, but it turned out to be a common way of attractively asking for something. It still gives me warm feelings thinking about it though. I miss him so much 🙁 Mom too. What I’d give to have one more day with them both. Sorry I speak from the heart. I think it I type it. If you follow me on Twitter you’re used to it haha.

Anyhow, don’t these look good? They were absolutely awful. No chocolate taste. I had found a website that sold Betty Crooker mixes, like the ones we grew up with. Were they always so terrible? There is literally no taste. Nothing it’s like eating a sponge. They were fluffy, for sure but absolutely the worst. Never again. The cherries unfortunately weren’t fresh, but I actually think it’s a good thing to not have certain fruits and vegetables in the shops if they aren’t locally in season.

I’d like to note that I’m still dabbling in food photography. These were a first serious attempt. I’ve learn so much from the mistakes I see in them. I have no hesitation of sharing them all the same. I love this photography journey I’m on and want it documented.
