Red Aesthetic Color Inspiration

'There is a shade of red for every woman.' — Audrey Hepburn

The Color Red

All reds are not created equal. Aside from light and dark shades of red, there are two kinds of red:

Yellow based reds, and blue based reds. Yellow-based reds are “tomato” reds.

Blue-based reds are “berry reds.” Some say that males are more attracted to the tomato reds: females to the berry reds.

Context Matters

Context is everything when using red. When red is placed on a black background, it glows. When placed on a white background, red appears duller, and on an orange background, red appears lifeless.

Notice how the red square appears larger on black?

Thanks for stopping by, and have a good weekend.
