THE UN AND THE UNSPLASH EFFECT —THE COVID-19 RESPONSE CAMPAIGN

A few weeks ago, the United Nations put out a global brief to get help in coming up with visuals in the fight against COVID-19. Thousands of creators answered that brief to help stop the spread of COVID-19. 17,000 submissions from around the world were generously submitted to help communicate important and unifying messages that can combat the spread of COVID-19 and unite the world during this pandemic.

Getting these important and uplifting messaging out far and wide to reach as many people as possible as quickly as possible is the aim. The more people that are inspired by the work, the quicker the curve can be flattened and the world united with uplifting messages of solidarity and kindness.

The image above, posted by Mikael Cho contains a tweet from me where I celebrate 80 million views. Since that tweet in November of 2019 my stats have grown tremendously.  In the last 30 days my photos have had 28,623,983 views on Unsplash. 

THE UNSPLASH EFFECT

What is the Unsplash Effect? It’s millions of views. It’s getting way more views than on Instagram, without having to have to have thousands of followers to get the exposure.

I can’t think of a better way to spread the artwork than having it promoted on Unsplash, where the work can be found not only on the Unsplash website but also open for use across the 1,820 API Unsplash partners including Medium, Buzzfeed, Google Slides, Squarespace, Figma, Notion, and Adobe.

For reference —the Harley Davidson campaign on Unsplash is out-Instagramming Instagram..

Millions of people are going to see this amazing art work, and help spread the message! 

I checked the stats on a few of the campaign image and these two stood out. This is just the beginning!
